ABOUT ME

Based in New York City, I've been working in the entertainment industry for 25 years, making my mark as a writer, producer and coach.

My independent production company, Monday Morning Productions, has produced new works by established playwrights featuring award-winning performers.  MMP has also been a platform to produce my own works, including my debut play, A Month of Sundayshim & her and my popular web series, “He’s With Me“, which debuted online in June 2013.  The show has been nominated for numerous awards and has been chosen as official selections of the Independent Series Awards, The LA Web Fest, The Denver Film Festival and the Rome Web Awards.  The show has been nominated for and won numerous awards and has been chosen as official selections of the Independent Series Awards, The LA Web Fest, The Denver Film Festival and the Rome Web Awards.  Both seasons are currently offered on YouTube, OutTV and Dekkoo and is offered for sale on Amazon.  My series, "Cady Did", created for Tony Award Winner Cady Huffman, recently debuted to rave reviews from its many fans.  With my extensive experience creating indie series, I've created a new business, Make Your Show, offering aspiring actors and show runners the opportunity to see their work onscreen.

My film, “A Conversational Place”, directed by Bob Giraldi and starring Emmy winner Marilyn Sokol, has been an official selection by many film festivals across the country, including Miami Short Film Festival, Atlanta ShortsFest, OUTrageous Film Festival of Santa Barbara, FilmColumbia and DAMN! Film Series. The film won a Gold Spotlight Award and an Award of Merit, Best Actress (Marilyn Sokol) and Best Screenplay (Jason Cicci) by the One-Reeler Short Film Competition.

I am a frequent Guest Teaching Artist in the Master in Directing Department at School of Visual Arts, helping students create narrative stories with complex characters.  I've also made a niche for myself coaching young actors.  My accessible teaching style matched with my experience inform young people about many aspects of the entertainment business, including, but not limited to auditioning, unions and professional marketing.

Past projects include Summerstage New York, a professional summer theatre company in Upstate New York and At That Stage Productions, a company made up of young performers, musicians and administrators.

A lifelong supporter of the arts, I serve on the Advisory Board of the Theatre World Awards and as an adjudicator for the Innovative Theatre Awards.

I am a graduate of the Syracuse University Drama Department.
