Sharing what I know about film, theatre, acting and lyric interpretation has been a surprising yet rewarding experience. My work with the students of the Klein Theatre Arts program reaffirms that the arts are a fundamental way of expressing what we fear, what we desire and what drives us.

Working with groups of 10 on creating film scripts then assigning each student to a job "on-set" promotes collaboration, creativity and the importance of attaining a common goal, assets for young people as they contemplate what they'd like to do professionally.

The screening of our films in the Klein Auditorium was a treat for my students and their parents and teachers, alike. The program at the Klein reminds me of my start in the performing arts. It has been a nostalgic reminder of my path to my work as a teaching artist and one I cherish.
